I received the Country Life Maxi Hair Supplement complimentary for testing from Influenster in my Natural Voxbox.
According to Country Life’s website (http://www.country-life.com/), this supplement complex contains B-vitamins, biotin and MSM to support healthy hair, skin and nails. It is also certified vegetarian.
As I lose my hair at an alarming rate, any supplement that helps with hair loss and hair growth is welcome. This product is the product I was looking forward most to try.
Well, it’s been approximately two weeks and I have been taking 2 pills daily in accordance to the directions on the bottle. I’m a little disappointed to say that I did not notice any significant difference in either the condition of my hair, or my hair loss rate. I also did not notice any side effects.
However, I do take several supplements, including Cod Liver Oil and vitamin B6/B12 and I have to say that I never really notice any difference those supplements cause either in terms of energy level (B6/B12) or skin quality (CLO). Perhaps I’m just that kind of person that has a natural immunity to supplements? I don’t know.
I would say that I frequently read that Biotin is one of the top few supplements that women are suppose to take, together with Cod Liver Oil, for both health and beauty reasons. Thus, I would actually recommend taking these supplements even if one does not see any noticeable external differences.
One thing I have to say is that this particular supplement is hard to swallow. The tablet form it comes in is a little big and it leaves an aftertaste, so I have to eat chocolate after taking it. Heh, any reason for chocolate, right?
